Bardovi

Anant (Chittaranjan Giri) is a middle aged hearse-driver who brings corpses to the crematory. He has a little liking for the usual day to day activities and prefers to live alone. He is and has always been fascinated by death. He doesn’t know or remember much about his childhood and has doubts about his own existence. He lives in the wilderness, away from the city; he often spends his time liberating  insatiable spirits of the dead that he carries.

Dreams about his mother Akka (Chhaya Kadam) are regular for him. She died due to an accident as told by Daduba, who brings Anant up as his younger brother. But one day Anant finds out that Akka and Daduba were part of something mysterious. He unravels that Akka possessed deep and dark occult knowledge and that she had used it on him. His search leads him to realise that everything Daduba told him about Akka was a lie. His skepticism about his childhood intensifies. He realises that there is something meaningful about the illusory dreams. He begins to search for the knowledge that his mother experimented on him as a child. Unable to get hold of the knowledge, Anant feels restless and constrained. At the same time, he begins to feel the effects of a young spirit named Aadi. Aadi doesn’t leave even after repeated attempts at liberation rituals. A deep bond between the two starts to grow. One that exhibits an age-old connection.

What is the knowledge that was experimented on him? What is the meaning of the dreams he gets? What is his connection with Aadi? Who exactly was Akka? What is Daduba hiding from him? Will Anant ever find the answers? Will he find who he truly is?
